Katherine Marotta

Kate Marotta is a choreographer and dancer who uses movement to explore and express scientific ideas. A Dance and Biology major at Dean College, she creates work that translates complex concepts—like natural frequency, Newton’s Laws, and biomedical ethics—into physical, emotional experiences.

Her choreography has been presented at The Dance Complex in Cambridge, Dean College, Arts On Site, and Spoke the Hub. She has trained at the Paul Taylor Company Summer Intensive and the Limón Intensive, and she previously participated in the AMassiT Choreography Mentorship. With experience in both the arts and healthcare settings, Kate is passionate about using movement to bridge the gap between science and storytelling.

She’s always seeking interdisciplinary collaboration, believing that choreography can educate, inspire, and transform.
